Little Ossipee Pond
"You can't miss it."

We're going to kick off our blog with an attraction that's practically in our dooryard. Little Ossipee Pond is a nearly 560 acre lake located... right over there. You can't miss it, just head up Route 5 about 3 miles and you'll see the boat launch. If you drive past a big farm on your left (you can't miss it) you've gone too far. Turn around and go back a bit; this time the boat launch will be on your left.

Little Ossipee is home to a variety of water-loving fowl including two loon families, herons, bald eagles, ducks and geese. If you're looking to get a line in the water the pond features a variety of fish including perch, pickerel, sunfish, large & small mouth bass, trout and more. Little Ossipee is loved by many who come to recreate in the summer and call it home year-round. Whether you're looking to boat, paddle, fish or swim - if you're in the neighborhood for the day, or an extended stay, Little Ossipee Pond is worth a visit!

Cool Off Tip! There are two swimming locations available to the public. One is at Gobeil Park on Rte 5. The other is via the Bob Fay Memorial Park off Webber Road. Learn more about recreation on Little Ossipee HERE.

You can get there from here!
